What we'll do
Join us this summer for fun-packed days at St James! Play out on the park, get creative with arts and crafts, and bring stories to life with theatre, dance, and drama! Enjoy family train trip adventures, surprise wildcard days, and join us on Fridays for scrapbook day: capture your summer memories and be in with a chance to win a prize for the best scrapbook! Families eat free all summer long, there's something for everyone to get on board with, so come along, make friends, try new things, and create unforgettable moments together. Don't forget to check out our reading challenges in the library...!

Cafe, library, play and activities for all!
North Birkenhead Development Trust are a charity, who run the St James Centre - a multi purpose community centre in North Birkenhead, Wirral. Since 2004 we have run a busy activity program, from adult education, kids clubs, foodbank, and day trips, for all ages - from cradle to grave. We're also home to a Community Cafe, a local Library, Miriam Day Nursery, as well as being home to other voluntary sector organisations, and spaces for meetings and catch ups.
Here's the Schedule:
Get ready for a summer of fun, friendship, and unforgettable memories! We’ve packed our summer schedule with brilliant activities that will get everyone out, active, and smiling from ear to ear. Here’s what’s in store: Mondays: All Aboard for Adventure! Each Monday, we’ll hop on a local train for fantastic trips to brilliant places - from exploring the historic streets of Chester (4th), to seaside fun in Southport (11th), and urban excitement in Liverpool (18th). Who knows what we’ll discover along the way? Tuesdays: Play Out on the Park Tuesdays are made for fresh air and fun! Every Tuesday, we’ll be out in the park, playing games, sports, and enjoying everything the great outdoors has to offer. Bring your energy - and of course, we'll bring the picnic! Wednesdays: Art with a Purpose Every Wednesday, come and get creative and make your voice heard! Our Art Activism sessions are a chance to express yourself, make a statement, do hands on, big project creations and help brighten up the world (and the library) with your ideas and artwork. Thursdays: Wildcard Wonders! Every Thursday brings something different - and always brilliant! From a theatre show in the library (7th), to a pizza party on the park (14th), a café disco where you can show off your moves (21st), or a dance and drama session that will have you laughing and performing like a star (29th).
