What we'll do
Our Splash-tastic Summer Holiday Fun Days are back again this Summer Holiday with lots of fun activities for children 7 to 14 years old. Everything is free (yes, FREE) – fun, games and food all provided by the Wyre Forest Swimming Club, the best swim club for miles around, in partnership with Worcestershire County Council. We make swim dreams happen! Apart from swimming our activities might include Ice Breakers, Mind games, Rounders, Cricket, Bracelet making, Soccer Skills, Art and Colouring, Dodge Ball, Javelin Throwing (foam), Chess and this year we might trial Touch Rugby. Or shall we do...something different!! We had sell-outs last year and places will go fast again this year so don’t delay make sure you book your child or children's places now. Oh, we also give out every day our prized Gold, Silver and Bronze medal awards as well as our 'Active Attender' Certificates. Yes, believe it – everything is FREE!!!

Wyre Forest Swimming Club
Swim fast making memories to last a lifetime
The Wyre Forest Swimming Club is different to any other swim provider in the Wyre Forest in that whatever a child's swim dream is we are at hand to help them realise it. Whether this is simply been safe and independent in the water, making friendships or memories that can last a lifetime or realising their dreams of racing competitively our team of swim teachers and coaches expertly help them to be the best swimmer they can be. As a club we focus on having fun, swimming fast with the best techniques and having a safe and inclusive environment for all.
A summary
The Wyre Forest Swimming Club looks forward to meeting your child/children at one or more of our Splash’tastic Summer Holiday Fun Days. Please arrive at King Charles School no earlier than 15 minutes before the event starts where we will register all the children before taking them into the Sports Gym to begin their fun day with us. Children should arrive wearing PE or comfortable type clothing with trainers with their swim clothing and towels in a bag to get changed into later. A free healthy and nutritious lunch, compliant with stated allergies and food intolerance's, will be provided with water and zero sugar drinks available whenever they want. At the end of the session we would ask you to be prompt and pick your children up no later than 15 minutes after the days fun finishes. The safeguarding of your child is our number 1 priority so if someone other than yourself is picking your child up at the end of the session we need to be made aware of this in the morning. We have planned a range of fun, skill and safety activities in the water and your child is definitely going to get wet!! There will be two separate swim sessions for them to enjoy so ensure they come with a large towel and dry clothes to change back into when they get out of the pool. Our swim sessions are shaped to help children be safe and happy in the water before encouraging them to develop and master a few skills they can show off to their family and friends. A range of land based fun and enjoyment activities are also planned. These, dependent on weather, will be held either in the Sports Gym or Outdoors. For these activities it is strongly requested from a safety aspect that the children wear trainers and NOT flip-flops or loose sandals. If a child requires help with laces etc this will be done by our staff. Children love our end of day medal and certificate awards ceremony and we are happy for family members to join us for that. The awards ceremony is held 15 minutes before each days session ends. Importantly, if your child requires any standard medication during the session please bring it along in a clearly marked bag with clear instructions as to when and how the medicines should be taken or administered. Please also provide a short note giving the staff of our club your approval for us to administer such medication.

To show children that you don't have to win to enjoy yourself.
Aim 3
Our pool activities are shaped to help children not to be scared of the water. From this encouraging them to float and hopefully mastering a few metres swim. From small acorns....
Aim 2
To educate children to be safe in the water ie different flags at the seaside, the dangers of currents and rip tides etc and the dangers of river and canal swims.
Aim 4
As a club we want all swimmers to be independent in the water. This is potentially life-saving - either theirs or someone else in trouble in the water
