What we'll do
When you arrive in the morning you will have a choice of crafts, puzzles or a Health & Wellbeing activity while you wait for everyone to arrive. There will be a tray of fruit on the table for you to enjoy throughout the day. Help yourself and maybe try something different. We start the morning with a Team Building Activity like Caterpillar walk so that you get to meet other children from the school and the older children develop their leadership skills working with their group. This will be followed by Activity 1. Break time will start with fruit and cereal bars before going outside to play or stay in and make something with Hema beads. Activity 2 will be after break. Three days of food will be filled rolls form the bakery and 1 day will be hot food. After lunch there will be time to play outside. After playtime you will participate in Activity 3 and 4. Each day you will participate in 3 to 4 different activities ranging from hockey, gymnastics, yoga, basketball, athletics etc. We have skipping coach in as well as wheelchair basketball (everyone's favourite). During the week we do Easter crafts as well as an Easter Egg hunt.

Spinney Hill Primary School is an inclusive school and our aim is to ensure that every child not only makes very good progress but also enjoys their time in school. We are a city primary school serving a multi-cultural area of Leicester, and we value the religious, linguistic and cultural diversity of our community. We admit children from 3 (nursery) to 11 years of age (year 6). The school was built early in the 20th century and has since been re-furbished and is very well maintained. We really do want your children, not only to succeed in school academically, but also to be filled with a love of learning in all aspects of our curriculum and beyond. All the staff, and our active Governing Body, work very hard to meet the needs of all the families within the local neighbourhood and are committed to strengthening the links between home, school and community.
