A summary
New to skateboarding? Come along to our relaxed social session where you can ride, hang out, and learn new tricks. If it’s your first time on a board and you fancy giving it a go, book your free spot and join us for an easygoing session with skating, music, and great vibes. All equipment is provided. A small number of scooters will also be available at the session. If you prefer you are welcome to bring your own stunt scooter. Plastic, folding or 3-wheeled scooters are not allowed. The friendly Source Park staff will be on hand to offer optional coaching, support, and encouragement throughout the session. Children should not leave the session without letting a member of the Active Hastings team know. Active Hastings cannot take responsibility for any young people once they leave the venue. Quick reminder: If your plans have changed and you can no longer make it, please cancel your booking. We anticipate we will have a long waiting list for this session and would love to give another child the chance to join the fun, if your child is unable to attend. Active Hastings
Physical activity sessions for everyone!
Active Hastings is an externally funded partnership project between Hastings Borough Council and East Sussex County Council Public Health. We have been working in partnership since 2006 to give local residents easy, fun ways to get their everyday dose of physical activity. It only takes 150 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity each week for adults and 60 minutes every day for children to benefit your health, both mental and physical. You can even break it down into 10 minute slots! All of our team are experienced sports coaches, fitness instructors and play workers, who are passionate about working with people of all ages in Hastings and St Leonards. We run free or low cost sessions throughout the year, as well as holiday activities as part of the Holiday Activity and Food programme.
