A summary

A Summary Arrival: Attendees should arrive at the Ski Lodge and sign in with their accompanying adult at 9:00am. Our team will check that all information is correct and that participants have everything they need for the day. Clothing Requirements: The following must be worn for both skiing and tubing: * Lightweight long-sleeved top * Full-length lightweight trousers or leggings * Gloves that cover the entire hand (lightweight gloves are suitable during warmer weather) * Trainers Not permitted: * Open-toe shoes * Crocs or slip-on footwear Alternative clothing may be worn in the Adventure Park and changed into after skiing and tubing activities have finished. Please note: * Shorts must be at least knee length to comply with Adventure Park regulations. * Crop tops, skirts and dresses are not permitted during activities. * During hot weather, lightweight clothing is recommended. Heavy winter clothing is generally unnecessary and may become uncomfortable. What to Bring: * Refillable water bottle * Packed lunch * Snacks for throughout the day * Sun cream * Sun hat or cap * Sunglasses (recommended) * Waterproof coat (recommended) * A change of clothes (the slope surface is wet) Important Food Information: Food is not provided. Please ensure your child brings a packed lunch, snacks and a refillable water bottle for the day. Important Sun Cream Information: Sun cream is not provided by Knockhatch Ski School and our staff are unable to apply sun cream to participants. Please apply sun cream before arrival and ensure your child brings their own sun cream to reapply during the day if required. Equipment: Skis, boots and helmets are provided for all skiing activities.

Knockhatch Ski Activities Camp

Inspiring skiing to the younger generation

We are an outdoor dry Ski and Snowboard School in Hailsham, East Sussex with a 110m artificial dry ski slope which creates the perfect conditions for skiing. We've been open since 2001 and our innovative dry slope technology has proved a great success. Our down slope measures 360ft with a vertical drop of 100ft. Since then we have expanded with a nursery slope and Tubing Run and a second drag lift. Our dry slope surface 'Play Grass' is a continuous carpet and does not have the voids (notorious for broken fingers and wrists) typical of the surfacing used by most dry slopes. As it is continuous, the bristles do not need to be so rigid, therefore abrasion is rarely a problem. It also has a soft backing so is far softer to fall on. As with other dry surfaces, the slope is mist lubricated for ultimate performance.

With their sport, dance and performing arts specialists they can offer an exceptional range of experiences. Our Camps offer a wide range of different sporting activities every day. Additional activities such as arts and crafts means there is something for everyone.

The aim is for the children to be able to put on and take off their own ski kit, ski safely from the top of the ski slope in snowplough and use the button lift unaided.
