Join us across the school holidays for an unforgettable experience packed with thrilling outdoor activities! We provide all necessary equipment and a delicious home-made meal daily to keep everyone energised and ready for action. Activities: Assault course, high ropes, archery, tunnels, river kayaking, rafting, seashore trail, and expert-led surf lessons. Flexible Booking Options: Fully funded places for eligible children, with paid options available for non-eligible participants. Welcome to our Devon HAF Holiday Club at Skern Adventure Appledore! Our fully funded places (with paid options available) give young people an exciting, action-packed break during the school holidays filled with adventure, fresh air, and new skills. Ages: 8 -11 years Drop Off/Pick Up Location (unless otherwise stated): Skern Adventure Appledore, Watertown, Appledore, EX39 1NG. Timings: Please drop off participants and arrive for collection 10 minutes before the session starts and ends. What to Bring: Comfortable activewear, suitable outdoor footwear, a water bottle, and swimwear, a towel and an old pair of trainers/wet shoes for water-based activities. All specialist safety equipment is provided including wetsuits. Catering: A fresh, locally sourced meal is provided every day (usually at the start of the session). Most days feature a hot cooked meal prepared on-site, though off-site activities (like surfing or cycling) include a packed lunch instead. Please detail any allergies or dietary requirements when booking. Behaviour: To maintain a safe and enjoyable environment, we operate a supportive two-strike policy: if a participant's behaviour disrupts the group or creates safety concerns, we will discuss it gently with them (Strike 1), and a repeat occurrence (Strike 2) will require a parent or carer to collect them. 1:1 Support: We do not provide 1:1 support for participants and instead work on a 1:8 ratio of staff to students. Paid places are open to all non-funded participants, so eligible children are welcome to invite friends or siblings to book a place and join in the fun. Paid tickets include the full experience—all activities, specialist equipment, and daily meals are fully covered.
