A summary
Robin’s Quest- Sherwood Forest Family activity Join Robin Hood and Lady Marian for a medieval quest like no other at Sherwood Forest! This is your chance to meet this legendary couple and explore the secrets of the ancient forest of Sherwood. Can you follow the clues and navigate your way around the forest, collecting information about the Legend of Robin Hood? Can you solve clues to find the Dragon’s head tree or discover how old the Major Oak really is? Please arrive for 10.30am at the Visitors Centre Shop where Robin and Marian will be waiting for you. Car parking is included in this HAF day at the main visitor’s centre car park. We will require your registration number to validate your parking. This family friendly activity is available on the 4th and 11th of August at Sherwood Forest. Following the completion of your Quest you will be awarded a scroll of Honour from Robin and then sit down for your lunch in the beautiful surroundings of Sherwood Forest. The afternoon is then free for your own exploration and enjoyment and the day will end at 3pm. Please note HAF funding is for children only. Adults wishing to eat with their children will need to either bring their own or purchase food from the Visitor Centre Café. Children food options for this day will be pre-ordered and will be cold food options only. We hope you have a legendary day out with Notts Outdoors HAF days!

Notts Outdoors, is the outdoor and environmental education service from Nottinghamshire County Council. Notts Outdoors provides outdoor learning opportunities for young people in Nottinghamshire and beyond. We're all about discovering the great outdoors, having fun and making memories to last a lifetime! We work with schools, colleges, youth groups, and employers to enhance the lives of young people. We aim to teach confidence, awaken adventure and immerse students in what the great outdoors and nature have to teach us. All staff have been through NCC safer recruitment, induction and monitoring processes. All activities are lead by experienced and competent staff, where a national governing body award applies or equivalent will be held. All staff will hold First Aid.
