A summary

SENDsational Soccer is ran by two FA qualified coaches, an assistant coach and a number of volunteers. We play lots of fun games to allow the children to work on different skills such as dribbling, ball control, shooting etc but they also work on communication, motor and social skills. Alongside the sport offer we will also have other activities such as arts and crafts, games, a reading area etc. The children can get involved in as much or a little as they want to. The centre is secure and has both an indoor and outdoor area. We have sensory toys, communication boards, pecs etc. All staff are trained in working with children with SEND.

SENDsational Soccer aims to give all children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities the opportunity to play football in a safe, friendly and inclusive environment, free from discrimination. We believe in putting each individual child's needs first.

FAQS

Does my child need a diagnosis to attend? No, we understand how different and long it can be to take a diagnosis. We simply ask that you inform us of your child's needs/sensory sensitivities etc before attending so that we can ensure their needs are met. Does my child need to bring anything? No, your child can attend in whatever they feel comfortable in. All other equipment will be provided. What if my child struggles with their attention/concentration? This is absolutely not a problem. The sessions are play based and led by the children. We will have a number of activities set up throughout the centre and your child is free to go between them all as and when they want to. This includes access to sensory toys and a chill out area if they need some time to regulate. Do you do extended hours? Yes, you can add on wraparound to allow your child to attend 9am until 3pm.
