SEND Wellbeing Celebration – Mother’s Event block mentored by Take Action Together
A summary
This SEND Wellbeing Celebration is a gentle, nurturing Mother’s Day special for SEND children and the mothers or female carers who care for them. Taking place at Re:Play Studio, the day is designed as a calm mini wellbeing festival, offering art, weaving and shared creative activities that parents and children can enjoy together. All activities are optional and families are supported to take part at their own pace, with SEND-experienced staff throughout. The session includes a shared parent-and-child art workshop, weaving, and a special Mother’s Day afternoon tea to close the day. This is a low-pressure, welcoming space created to say thank you and celebrate the care, love and effort that goes into supporting SEND children every day.

Learning aims

Attendees will experience how creative activities and gentle movement can support emotional regulation, connection and wellbeing for SEND children and carers.

Attendees will build confidence taking part in shared parent-and-child activities in a calm, supportive and inclusive SEND-friendly setting.
Aim 3
Attendees will feel valued and recognised, with mothers and female carers experiencing appreciation and celebration for their caring role.
