What we'll do
Over our 5-week SEND Summer Activity Club, children will enjoy a fun, inclusive, and engaging programme designed to build confidence, communication, creativity, and social skills. Activities will include sensory exploration, arts and crafts, music and rhythm, interactive storytelling, yoga, dance sessions, movement breaks, team games, visual supports, and opportunities for friendship building. Every session is tailored to meet individual needs and interests, providing a safe, supportive environment where children can learn, play, communicate, and thrive while celebrating their unique strengths and abilities.

Inclusive fun for all
Children With Voices is a community-focused organisation dedicated to empowering children, young people, and families by ensuring their voices are heard, valued, and included. The organisation works to reduce inequality, improve wellbeing, and create opportunities for children and families through inclusive programmes, community support, and early intervention. CWV provides safe and welcoming spaces where children and young people can build confidence, develop skills, express themselves, and actively participate in their communities. Its work includes youth empowerment, educational support, family assistance, food justice initiatives, and activities that promote inclusion and wellbeing. As part of its commitment to inclusive provision, Children With Voices is partnering up with WeAMTV’s (We Are More Than Voices) to deliver an inclusive SEND Summer Programme, supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities through accessible activities, enrichment opportunities, social engagement, and personalised support. The SEND Summer Programme is Funded by the Department for Education and delivered as part of Hackney’s Holiday Activity and Food Programme (HAF), providing children and young people with enriching holiday experiences, nutritious meals, and opportunities to connect with others in a safe and inclusive environment. Through its work and partnerships, Children With Voices continues to champion inclusion, amplify children’s voices, and create positive opportunities for children and families to thrive.

Hi, I'm Peta-Gay. I have over 10 years of experience working with children in education and a genuine passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). As a Teaching Assistant and SEND Support Practitioner, I work closely with children in intervention and learning support settings, helping them build confidence, develop communication skills, regulate their emotions, and reach their full potential. I believe every child is unique and learns in their own way. I love creating fun, engaging, and inclusive experiences that help children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing a child achieve something they once thought they couldn't do. My goal is always to help children thrive, celebrate their strengths, and ensure they feel seen, heard, and supported every step of the way.

As a dedicated mentor, I am passionate about helping children and young people recognise their strengths, build confidence, and reach their full potential despite any challenges they may face. As the CEO and Founder of WeAMTV (We Are More Than Voices) and SEN Lead at ChildrenWithVoices, I bring extensive experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Through tailored mentoring, alternative tuition, sensory-based learning, and confidence-building opportunities, I create inclusive and nurturing environments where every child feels valued, heard, and empowered to succeed.
Application process
We will be holding a ONE OF date (to be confirmed) for parents and carers who have registered their interests. This date is available to support you through the online booking system if, needed. And to find out more information about your child or children SEND diagnoses. Look forward to seeing you then!
What you'll need
To help your child have a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience at our activity club, please ensure they bring the following items where applicable: Essential Items: * Any prescribed medication your child may require during the session (e.g. inhalers, EpiPens, emergency medication). During our ONE OFF day, we will be going into more details about any medications. * Any personal care items required during the session (e.g. continence products, wipes, spare clothing). Food and Drinks * A packed lunch if your child requires specific or safe foods due to allergies, sensory needs, dietary requirements, or food preferences. *Other than the above, breakfast (if needed), lunch and snacks/refreshments are provided. * A refillable water bottle clearly labelled with your child’s name. Clothing and Footwear * Comfortable clothing suitable for active play and the weather. * Trainers or other suitable closed-toe footwear for sports and physical activities. * A waterproof coat or jacket for outdoor activities. * Sun hat and sunscreen during warmer weather (please apply sunscreen before arrival where possible). Additional Support Items * Any communication aids your child uses (e.g. PECS book, communication device). * Comfort items that help your child feel secure and settled, such as a favourite toy, sensory item, or fidget. * Any specialist equipment your child requires to participate fully in activities. Please Ensure * All belongings are clearly labelled with your child’s name. * Staff are informed of any changes to your child’s medical, dietary, behavioural, or support needs before the session.

Free bookings do not require refunds but as places are limited, please cancel if you cannot attend so that your place can be offered to someone else.

My experience is an educational activity and the 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 therefore applies. After the 14 day period my standard policy will apply.
