A summary
Strive PE & Sport will be hosting our highly popular SEND Multi-Activity Camp this Christmas/Winter at Brompton Academy , specialising in adapted and inclusive activities for all. Our staff are qualified teachers and highly experienced in teaching children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We are hugely passionate about making a difference in the SEND community by providing new opportunities for movement, fine and gross motor skills, balance and co-ordination, having fun, feeling safe and socialising with new friends! We will be hosting a range of Christmas themed activities in the run up to Christmas in addition to all usual activities that are such a hit with our SEND campers. All camp days involve adaptive sports, sensory equipment and toys, a bouncy castle, dens, ball pits, go-karts, trampettes, giant garden games, didi cars, scooters, train sets, puzzles, board games, cooking, arts and crafts and so much more! We aim to invite providers into our SEND camps that families may not be able to normally access, providing new opportunities and experiences! Our camps always run on a condition that if your child requires 1:1 or 2:1 support, parents/carers are required to stay and support them. This is essential for our camps to be successful and safe. For first timers, we always like the children to settle, familiarise themselves with the environment and our staff, therefore, parents/carers will need to supervise children until this process is completed. Our optional SEND theme days this Christmas are as follows: Monday 22nd December - Grinchmas at SEND -Ville! meet & greet with grinch - ⁠sensory cinema film showing of grinch - ⁠christmas tuff trays - ⁠christmas arts & crafts - ⁠sensory area - ⁠christmas bucket time - ⁠bouncy castle Tuesday 23rd December - All aboard the SEND Express! Polar express - PJs welcomed - ⁠sensory cinema film showing of polar express - ⁠hot chocolates and marshmallows - ⁠christmas tuff trays - ⁠christmas arts & crafts - ⁠sensory area - ⁠christmas bucket time - ⁠bouncy castle Monday 29th December - Winter Wonderland Tuesday 30th December - Winter Wonderland - Cooking - Science Experiments - ⁠christmas tuff trays - ⁠christmas arts & crafts - ⁠sensory area - ⁠christmas bucket time - ⁠bouncy castle - ⁠adapted sports All of our usual favourite activities will be taking place whilst theme days are on so that there lots of options for our participants to choose from. Don't miss out on our amazing SEND community, come along and feel supported at our camps! This year we have a 10 minute transition time so children to not cross over when leaving session 1 and arriving for session 2. Please be prompt to these times to avoid unsettling children. Session 1: Lunch will be 11.30 - 11.50 Session 2: Lunch will be 12:10 - 12:30 Please only book an AM or PM slot.
