A summary
The Haven Clinic is opening its doors starting with the HAF Easter program! You are invited to come and enjoy our newly developed space - upstairs we have separate 1:1 rooms including a calming sensory room and an OT room for movement breaks. Downstairs we have a spacious group activity room where the children can enjoy spending time together and get to know each other. Our activities create a joyful space for children to explore, learn, and grow, guided by our highly trained support staff. Activities will include sensory play (eg water tray/pasta tray), movement play (trampoline, stepping mats, spinning chair) and free play (toys available include train track, building blocks, doll house, puzzles, shape sorters etc). We will also guide smaller groups of children through activities such as drawing/painting, story time, music and dance. Through sensory play, games, arts and crafts, and reading, children build creativity, communication, and social skills. Our play sessions also provide a warm and welcoming space where we hope children can relax, connect, and enjoy meaningful time together. Our highly trained staff will be supporting each child and guide them through the activities as per their EHCP (1:1 support and 2:1 support as needed). Each child will be paired with a trained staff members who will accompany them during each session. Children are encouraged to play with toys, engage in sensory activities and participate in group activities like listening to a story during circle time or showing off some dance moves during music breaks. We encourage interaction with other children during activities like simple turn taking games, sharing toys or eating meals together. Our main goal is to provide a safe and fun environment where SEND children can explore different activities and interact with their peers. A separate sensory room is available for those children who might need to take a break from the excitement of the play session, and an OT room is available to provide movement breaks and fun exercise.

About your mentor
The Haven Clinic
Unlocking potential every day
All our staff are trained in ABA and positive behaviour support. We have a Speech and Language Therapist, ABA tutors, ABA senior tutor and a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst who will be on site during each session. All staff have an enhanced DBS and senior staff have completed a First Aid course. Most importantly, all our staff members love working with children and helping them grow and develop new skills! Nothing brings more joy than a child's smile!
What we'll do
Start the session with a gentle, friendly group activity where everyone can meet their playmates for the day. We’ll ease into the morning with simple songs, movement, and dance — a fun way to wake up the body and feel comfortable in the space. Children can then explore a wide choice of games and toys at their own pace, with plenty of support available whenever they need it. Our caring, enthusiastic staff will guide small groups through arts and crafts, messy play, and other hands‑on activities designed to be engaging, flexible, and accessible for all. After lunch, we slow things down with a calming wind‑down time. Children can settle onto beanbags and mats, relax their bodies, and enjoy a soothing story in a cosy, low‑pressure environment.
