A summary
South Cave Leisure Centre – Get Glowing, Karaoke & Inclusive Street Dance Join us for a fun-filled summer experience at South Cave Leisure Centre, designed specifically for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Our exciting programme includes arts and crafts, inclusive music sessions, karaoke, street dance, disability sports and our popular Get Glowing experience. Get Glowing takes place in a darkened sports hall illuminated by specialist UV lighting and glow-in-the-dark multi-skills equipment. This unique sensory environment allows children and young people to take part in inclusive games and adapted sports while exploring movement, colour and play in a fun and engaging setting. These fun and inclusive sessions provide children and young people with the opportunity to explore movement, music and self-expression through dance and performance activities in a supportive and welcoming environment. Participants will enjoy inclusive games, singing, karaoke and dance-based activities designed to build confidence, encourage communication and social interaction, and create opportunities for creativity and self-expression while having fun and making new friends. You can choose to book a morning session, an afternoon session or a full day, depending on your child's needs and interests. A packed lunch will be provided, with a choice of tuna, cheese, ham or egg sandwiches, along with fruit and a drink. Healthy snacks will also be available throughout the day. Children are welcome to bring their own packed lunch if preferred. Where eligible, 1:1 support may be available through the Abilite Team, subject to approval by the HAF team. For further information, please email haf@eastriding.gov.uk. Parents, carers and personal assistants are welcome to attend with prior arrangement and appropriate safeguarding checks. Please contact us before booking at info@abilite.uk or 07813 131561. Paid places are available for children who do not meet HAF eligibility criteria and for siblings wishing to attend. Visit www.abilite.uk for further information and booking details.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
It is our mission to help each child, young person and adult reach their potential and enjoy themselves when playing sport or any other physical activity, learning and developing skills and habits to take into adulthood and encourage and establish lifelong physical literacy. Our long-term vision is to create inclusive community sport and activity programmes and deliver vocational training workshops, which are accessible and are focused on making a positive improvement to people’s lives in the local area. Underpinning all our work is a fundamental awareness of the need of all children, young people, and vulnerable adults to be able to take part in a sport, physical activity and learning environments that is stimulating, enjoyable and safe. Our inclusive programme involves a mixture of fun inclusive games and activities, skill challenges and competitions. We work closely with accredited grassroots sports clubs creating exit routes for children and young people to continue playing regular organised disability sport and inclusive physical activities in the local area. All our staff, sports coaches, and volunteers, where appropriate, will hold enhanced DBS certificate and have accredited First Aid for Sport, Exercise and Fitness, and Safeguarding Children certification, working closely with UK Coaching and ActFast Frist Aid. We also upskill our staff, sports coaches and local volunteers with disability awareness and inclusive activity training. We have over 30 years’ experience within Primary and Secondary School Education, specialising in SEND provision and support, local community sport and the development of voluntary and charitable organisations across the Yorkshire and Humber area. We work closely with the local School Sport Partnership, Panathlon, UK Coaching, and local accredited community sport clubs, supporting the development of disability and inclusive activity and training opportunities.
Daniel
Activity Coach
I am a compassionate, patient and enthusiastic individual who values relationships, enjoys new challenges, and is passionate about supporting others to reach their full potential. Having recently spent a year travelling around the world, I have developed a strong appreciation for different people and cultures. I enjoy football, golf, camping in my campervan, and spending time with family and friends. Supporting SEND children is a passion I discovered this year and one I find deeply rewarding.
Dom
