A summary
Join us for a summer of STEM at Kip McGrath Driffield and Bridlington. Our programme has been developed by an experienced SENCo and aims to boost learners enjoyment of English, Maths and Science. Each session is designed to inspire creativity and boost learning through a range of interactive and engaging hands-on activities including: STEM Discovery: Spark your curiosity through coding, pixel art, magnet experiments, and more. Track Engineering: Large-scale track building and navigation challenges with Train Time UK. Creative Arts: A deep dive into creativity, including comic book creation, storytelling, movie poster design, or digital art. Halfway through the day we'll take a break for a healthy communal lunch followed by a focused health and wellbeing activity. Lunches will include a drink, a healthy snack and either a jacket potato or cold sandwiches with a choice of fillings. Attendees will be contacted at least 72 hours before the session to confirm their lunch choices. Drinks and snacks will be available throughout the session. We are committed to providing a safe, caring and accessible environment for all young people. Our SEND sessions will have reduced numbers and activities will be adjusted where possible to meet individual needs. Please contact us if you would like to discuss your child's individual needs and how best we can support them during the session. You can contact us at: admin-driffieldbridlington@kipmcgrath.co.uk. We may be able to accommodate 1:1 support if you have Direct Payments and your application is approved by the HAF team. Please email haf@eastriding.gov.uk for further information. Our activities are proudly funded by East Riding of Yorkshire council and offered free of charge to children who receive benefit-related free school meals.
