A summary
The Sculpture Studios provide a nurturing learning environment in which to express and explore your creativity working with clay, plaster, wood, stone, including pencil or charcoal drawing and paint.
Students are encouraged to explore their potential and perhaps discover a new direction, stability or purpose in life. The atmosphere in the studios is welcoming and relaxed, making no demands on performance. The journey is the destination!
Students either choose to follow their own creative ideas or have the opportunity to be guided using exercises to learn more about the sculptural language.
Whether you fancy trying your hand at clay modelling, picking up the tools and giving wood carving a go or are up for the challenge of stone sculpting, all is possible in these studio mornings.
The facilities in the studio include various coloured clays, plaster casting, wood and stone carving. The studio has a few small machines: a power drill, grinders and a machine for sharpening tools.
Materials and firings are an additional charge.
Choose between an every Tuesday term, a Wednesday term or a Thursday term.

I am a trained Waldorf teacher and I have a diploma in Sculpting and Drawing. I am now running the sculpture studio in Hoathly Hill and offer lots of different courses for children, teenagers and adults. I discovered my love of art during therapy – for which I am deeply grateful because it has led me through my own healing process to link me back to my profession of nursing, healing and teaching.

My experience is an educational activity, and the ‘14-day cooling period’ under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 therefore applies. After the 14 day period my standard policy will apply.
