What we'll do

Scallywags is set in a beautiful location on the outskirts of Ryde. We have a separate self contained building and area at Oakfield CE Primary School. Appley Beach is a 5 minute walk along the lane that runs alongside one of the schools playing fields. Our setting is safe & secure. Our team of staff are qualified & experienced in working with children with many needs to provide an inclusive environment for children. We encourage the children to try new things and make new friends, it's all about having fun. We offer fun, challenging, new activities every school holiday for paying places and also offer free HAF places during the Easter, Summer & Christmas holidays (occasionally pop ups during the shorter holidays) FREE HAF PLACES for children aged 4-16 years on benefit related free school meals, times 9-3.00 and you book here. To add additional paying hours please contact Scallywags. PAYING PLACES for children aged 3-18 years, times 8-6. Our areas are divided into play zones: ACTIVITY ZONE: 3-8/9 YEARS Activities include large construction, role play, messy/creative/cookery areas, dressing up, toys, consoles, den building YOUTH ZONE: 8/9 -18 YEARS Activities include youth club area, snooker/pool, music, consoles, dens, art/cookery/woodwork CHILL ZONE: Separate areas for both age zones Includes films/dvds, books/comics, fidgets, blankets GAMES ZONE: Large inflatable ball pool, air hockey, large brick den area, music, challenges HALL ZONE: Adult lead activities such as party games, music, performances/shows, team games, challenges. OUTSIDE/PHYSICAL ZONE (Open all weathers/all day) Bouncy castle (summer months) Loose parts area with tyres/ pallets for den making, mud kitchen area, sand/water play, spinny chairs and soft mats ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND AREA: Wooden climbing area, obstacles Area for scooters, go-carts, roller skates, bikes LARGE GRASSED AREA: Team sports, football, water slides / games, challenges TRIPS OUT: Our wonderful location is a 5 minute walk to the beautiful Appley Beach, a 5 minute walk along the lane that runs alongside one of the schools playing fields. Daily the children can choose if they would like to go.. EXAMPLES OF OTHER ACTIVITIES ON OFFER: Face painting, nail art, hammer beads, table tennis, Once you have requested the days we will confirm with you. Then we will be in contact with you to complete our registration forms etc

Free bookings do not require refunds but as places are limited, please cancel if you cannot attend so that your place can be offered to someone else.Free Haf places: Please let us know asap if you no longer need your places as these will be offered to children on our waiting list. Paying places: Once booked fees are charged even if places are cancelled so please be sure you need the places before booking
