A summary
Free transport will be available for this winter HAF period. During these sessions, young people will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of enriching, youth-led activities designed to promote participation, creativity, and collaboration. Each session will offer a structured yet flexible environment that encourages all participants to take part in the full range of activities provided. The program includes a diverse mix of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) projects, arts and crafts, and team-based games and sports. These activities are carefully designed to support the development of essential life skills such as problem-solving, communication, cooperation, and emotional resilience. By participating in group-based activities, young people are encouraged to build friendships, improve social interactions, and grow in confidence. A key component of the program is the provision of nutritious hot meals during each session. Menus are developed in consultation with the young people, ensuring that their preferences are taken into account while also meeting all dietary requirements. This inclusive approach not only promotes healthy eating habits but also empowers participants by involving them in decision-making around the food they consume. Overall, the sessions aim to provide a supportive, engaging, and inclusive environment where young people can thrive both socially, emotionally and physically while exploring new interests and building lifelong skills.
