A summary
New for Summer 2026 - SAP CIC have teamed up with the National Trust to provide days out for families to experience different places around North Devon. Each session will provide transport to/from a central point in South Molton, the day will include a family based activity led by one of the National Trust rangers or Partner organisations, followed by free time for you and your family to go and explore. A packed lunch will provided to all attendees - a form will sent with your choices prior to the session. Priority booking will be given to families who do not have their own transport or means to be able to travel to these locations otherwise. The SMART Action Project CIC is a community-focused organisation dedicated to providing accessible opportunities for all in the South Molton area. We believe in the power of sport and recreation to bring people together, improve well-being, and create lasting positive change. Our mission is to help families, children, and young people access sport and recreational activities, breaking down barriers and ensuring that everyone, regardless of background or ability, can participate in and enjoy these benefits. Through our programs and initiatives, we strive to promote inclusion, health, and community spirit by offering a wide range of accessible sports and recreational opportunities. Whether it's through holiday clubs, family activities, or targeted youth programs, The SMART Action Project CIC is committed to making sport and recreation a central part of everyday life in South Molton.
ARLINGTON COURT
For Arlington Court Days: Transport by mini bus, there will be a strict pick up and collection time. Please arrive at South Molton Central Car Park and be ready to leave the LORRY PARK area at 1000. There will be a SAP representative there to complete a register and provide packed lunches. Families/parents are responsible for their children throughout the duration of the day. These trips are designed so that families have the freedom to make what they want of the day and therefore they are not overly scheduled apart from pick ups/drop offs. Upon arrival at Arlington, families will be greeted and provided with an activity by the National Trust in their Outdoor Experiences field. Following that you will be free to explore. Please dress for all weathers and bring your own drinks. A packed lunch will be provided for all attendees. Pick up from Arlington will be at 1630 to be back in South Molton at around 1700. Please note timings may be subject to change due to transport availability and this will be .communicated clearly in advance if this is the case
WOOLACOMBE BEACH
For Woolacombe Beach Days: Transport by mini bus, there will be a strict pick up and collection time. Please arrive at South Molton Central Car Park and be ready to leave the LORRY PARK area at 1000. There will be a SAP representative there to complete a register and provide packed lunches. Families/parents are responsible for their children throughout the duration of the day. These trips are designed so that families have the freedom to make what they want of the day and therefore they are not overly scheduled apart from pick ups/drop offs. Upon arrival at Woolacombe, families will be greeted and provided with an activity by the National Trust in the Marine Drive area, and also given the opportunity to complete a Beach Clean. Following that you will be free to explore. A SAP representative will be available at all times to provide water safety/beach safety information should it be required. Please dress for all weathers - including your beach attire/towels and bring your own drinks. A packed lunch will be provided for all attendees. Pick up from Woolacombe will be at 1615 to be back in South Molton at around 1700. Please note timings may be subject to change due to transport availability and this will be .communicated clearly in advance if this is the case
