What we'll do

Book your free places via this links: https://eequ.org/book/sail-gp-environmental-engagement-events-with-andrew-simpson-centres-33659 The sessions will be highly interactive and designed to engage participants with key environmental and sustainability themes through a mixture of practical activities, discussions, challenges, games, fieldwork and collaborative learning. Topics covered across the programme will include: Habitats and Biodiversity, Climate Change, Plastic Pollution, Water Pollution, Food Production Sustainability and Biodiversity Environmental Action. The programme is designed to be engaging, accessible and hands-on, encouraging participants to develop a stronger connection with the natural environment while building their understanding of sustainability challenges and solutions. Activities will be tailored to promote teamwork, critical thinking, problem-solving and environmental stewardship. Participants will leave with a greater understanding of local environmental issues and practical actions they can take to support a more sustainable future. Lunch will also be included!

Learning aims
Aim 1
To develop an understanding of local habitats, biodiversity, and the ways human activities impact natural ecosystems.
Aim 2
To investigate key environmental challenges, including climate change, plastic pollution, and water pollution, and evaluate their effects on people and nature.
Aim 3
To empower participants to take positive environmental action by developing sustainable behaviours and contributing to environmental stewardship.
