What we'll do

Children and young people are in for an unforgettable half-term as Goole Vikings join forces with Youth Player Development to bring Game On Goole - a summer holiday sports camp designed to get kids active, learning and loving sport! Taking place at the Victoria Pleasure Grounds, home of the Vikings, this exciting partnership gives boys and girls aged 6–14 the chance to experience both rugby league and football in a fun, inclusive and energetic environment. Qualified coaches from both clubs will lead sessions packed with skill development, small-sided games, fun stations and friendly competitions across the three days. Special Highlights: • A coaching session from Vikings pro team head coach Scott Taylor, a former England international and Super League winner! • Player visits during the week • A special appearance from Vikings club mascot Viktor the Viking • Final-day mini tournaments and match play • Trainer of the Day awards Paid places are available and can be booked via the Goole Vikings box office at: www.buytickets.at/goolevikings Every child receives a certificate and a FREE ticket to a Vikings home game in the Betfred Championship! Sessions are tailored by age and ability, making it perfect for beginners, experienced players, and anyone wanting to try a new sport in a supportive setting.

It's Game On in Goole!

The Vikings are East Yorkshire's first professional sports club and the newest franchise in European Rugby League! They play in the Betfred Championship with their home matches at the Victoria Pleasure Grounds in Goole. The club is at the heart of its community and passionate about getting people interested in sport through active lifestyles, health and participation.

FAQs

Do I qualify for FREE HAF sessions? If you are eligible for HAF (Holiday Activities & Food programme), you can attend this camp free of charge. If I don’t qualify for HAF, can I still attend? Yes. Paid places are available and can be booked via the Goole Vikings box office at: www.buytickets.at/goolevikings What time are the sessions? Sessions run from 10:00am – 3:00pm each day. Who are the coaches? All sessions are delivered by qualified FA and RFL coaches. What food is provided? Children eligible for free school meals will receive a complimentary packed lunch. All participants will have snacks available. Children not eligible for free school meals should bring their own packed lunch. What clothes should my child wear? Children should wear suitable outdoor sports clothing and footwear (trainers or boots suitable for 4G surfaces). Please bring a warm layer and rain jacket in case of poor weather, and a drink to ensure you can stay hydrated on warmer days. What facilities are available on site? Sessions will take place on a brand new, state-of-the-art 4G pitch. Changing facilities and parking is available on site. What age groups can attend? The camp is open to boys and girls aged 6–14. Do children need experience in rugby or football? No experience is required. Sessions are tailored by age and ability to suit beginners and experienced players alike. What policies are in place? All sessions are delivered under club safeguarding policies and appropriate insurance cover.
