Forest Schools and Sports Camp at Rufford Abbey and Country Park**
Koala Klubs is coming to **Rufford Abbey and Country Park** with our exciting **Bear Grylls–themed Summer Adventure Camp** — packed with outdoor challenges, sports, creative activities, team games and unforgettable summer fun.
As part of the **HAF programme**, eligible children can attend **completely FREE**, with healthy meals and snacks included.
Set within the fantastic outdoor surroundings of Rufford Abbey and Country Park, our camp gives children the chance to get active, build confidence, make new friends and enjoy a fun, structured holiday experience.
Every day is different, with activities designed to keep children engaged, active and learning new skills from start to finish.
**Ofsted Exemption and Quality Standards**
Whilst this camp is Ofsted exempt, we follow the same policies, structures and high standards expected of outstanding-rated childcare. Children are supervised by experienced staff, supported through clear routines, safe ratios, risk assessments and well-planned activities.
To meet Ofsted exemption requirements, the camp operates as two separate activity programmes:
**Ages 5–7**
Children aged 5–7 take part in an activity-based programme focused on supervised sports, arts and crafts, outdoor learning and Forest School-style adventures. Any care provided, such as registration, breaks, lunch and transitions, is incidental to the main activities.
**Ages 8+**
Children aged 8 and over follow a separate timetable with their own register, activity plan, staff deployment and supervision arrangements. This group does not routinely mix with the under-8 group.

* Archery and target challenges
* Camouflage and stealth missions
* Den building and shelter construction
* Navigation and survival skills
* Knot tying and rope skills
* Team challenges and obstacle courses
* Bushcraft-style activities
* Outdoor sports and games
* Laser tag missions

* Water games and summer challenges
* Team competitions, prizes and rewards
