A summary
An outdoor fun experience featuring games such as capture the flag, animal footprint hunting, coordinate searches and I'm a celebrity get me out of here. We also have indoor crafts which will include making dreamcatchers, wooden disc painting and lots more. Forest school also hosts an indoor movie screen in our yurt which has a comfy lounge area for children to enjoy. Children can take part in lots of Summer activities including a water slide, toasting marshmallows and kite making.

Rossmere Forest School is part of Rossmere Academy. Our aim is to give children a love of being outside (no matter what the weather), opportunities to develop skills of teamwork, resilience when things get hard and to encourage them to have lots of fun!
Extra information
We provide a varied and balanced menu which will include jacket potatoes with various fillings, pasta bake, cooked dinner and homemade pizzas. Healthy snacks and drinks will also be provided during the day. Children will need to dress accordingly which will depend on weather for the specific day.
Learning aims
Aim 1
Children will have more knowledge of a forest setting and how to respect a natural area. They will raise their own self esteem and independence as well as creating future friendships.
Aim 2
Children will be encouraged to Den build and create safe structures within a team which will develop creative thinking as well as logic and process of elimination.
Meet and Greet
On arrival your children will be introduced to staff members and other children already in attendance. We will ensure that your child feels welcomed and safe as well as an understanding that they can come and speak to us in confidence and with the upmost respect of their needs and wishes. At Forest School we encourage children to grow friendships and include others to join in play and adventure.
