What we'll do
We deliver age-appropriate activities across three separate zones at our Centre, ensuring clients are grouped in areas by age. Zone 1) Hall with sensory lighting, interactive OMI sensory projector, separate projector for movies, music and exercise videos, flexible use space for activities and a room off the hall with privacy for personal care with hospital bed and hoist. Zone 2) Day Service rooms, for arts and crafts, various activities and games, OMI sensory projector, daily living skills lessons i.e. correctly brushing teeth, folding and putting away clothes etc. Zone 3) New double-story cabin with accessible kitchen downstairs for cooking and baking lessons, young children’s play den upstairs with toys and reading nook, Sensory garden with basket swing, trampoline, sand and water play, tactile panels and outdoor toys. A separate upstairs Sensory room includes a ball pool and other interactive sensory equipment. For this Autumn half-term, you can book two dates per child. Please provide a packed lunch. We will support your child in the way they need for lunch, toileting and all activities. We will have special Diwali and Halloween activities, crafts and baking. All staff have enhanced DBS checked, bared listings checked, are well trained and supervised. Safeguarding our clients is our key priority, followed by engaging in fun, meaningful activities, building social and friendship circles and working toward achieving individual goals.

Based in the heart of Newham since 2009, we provide various Care services to residents aged 5 to 100+ in their homes, out in the community and, for the past 2 years at our Day Service specialising in care for Autism and Learning Disabilities. We are registered with both OFSTED and CQC, rated GOOD in all domains. All staff have Enhanced DBS checked, barring list checks, are well-trained and supervised. Rising Star Day Service specialise in services to clients with Autism and Learning Disabilities. We are passionate about helping clients improve their lives by working together with families and professionals to develop and achieve goals and outcomes, accomplished by offering customised services to meet unique individual needs and challenges. At Rising Star Day Service, we provide a variety of activities: arts and crafts, active sessions (encourage exercise to appropriate YouTube video and active play), gardening, play sessions with various toys and sensory activities, OMI interactive sensory projector, Sensory Room which includes a ball pool, sessions of practising age-appropriate daily living skills, Sensory Garden with basket swing, trampoline, water and sand play, tactile sensory boards and dedicated kitchen for cooking and baking lessons.

Cancellation Policy
Free bookings do not require refunds but as places are limited, please cancel if you cannot attend so that your place can be offered to someone else.If you need to cancel a session, please do so with 24 hour notice so your space can be allocated to someone else.

My experience is an educational activity and the 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 therefore applies. After the 14 day period my standard policy will apply.
