A summary
Children will arrive to a calm and welcoming outdoor space where they can slow down, explore nature and build confidence at their own pace. This after school forest school club is designed especially for SEND children aged 8–12 and offers a low-pressure, supportive environment led by experienced staff. Each session will include a mixture of woodland exploration, den building, nature crafts, hammock time, campfire snacks, sensory activities, tool use, fire lighting demonstrations, team games and child-led outdoor play. Children will have opportunities to try new things, make friends, build independence and connect with the natural world in a safe and relaxed setting. The sessions are designed to support emotional wellbeing, confidence, communication and regulation through hands-on outdoor experiences. Children are welcome to engage in activities in ways that feel comfortable for them, with plenty of choice, movement and quiet spaces available throughout the session.

Session Information
Children can attend straight from school wearing their school uniform. We recommend bringing comfortable trainers or outdoor shoes and a waterproof coat, as sessions will take place outdoors in most weather conditions. Please avoid sending children in clothing you are worried about getting muddy. Drop off is at 3:45pm and collection is at 5:15pm. Please ensure children are collected promptly at the end of each session. Children should bring a named water bottle with them each week. We will provide light snacks and hot chocolate around the campfire during sessions. Please let us know about any allergies, dietary requirements or additional support needs when booking. Please note that we have an educational apiary (beehives) onsite as part of the allotment space. While the bees are managed safely and children will not directly access the hives, this activity may not be suitable for children with severe bee allergies. If your child has a known allergy to bee stings, please contact us before booking to discuss this further. Sessions are designed to be calm, flexible and supportive, with experienced staff who understand neurodiversity and additional needs. Children are encouraged to take part in activities in ways that feel comfortable for them, with opportunities for movement, quiet time and sensory regulation throughout the session.
