What we'll do
HAF Spring Workshops at Holme Head House! Looking for fresh air, creativity, and a sprinkle of springtime magic this holiday? Join us for uplifting workshops where imaginations bloom and laughter fills the air! What Happens When You Arrive? Children can dive straight into table and floor games while we wait for everyone to arrive — the perfect way to ease in, make friends, and settle into the fun. What Happens During the Day? Start: We begin with get-to-know-you games and spring-themed drama fun to break the ice and build confidence. Then we step into an imaginative seasonal story session filled with adventure, nature, and plenty of giggles. Morning Snack: Around 11am, children refuel with fresh fruit and healthy nibbles to keep energy levels bright and balanced. Outdoor Play (weather permitting): If the weather is kind, we’ll head outside for some fresh spring air in our fully enclosed garden — think mini nature hunts, bunny races, and garden games full of energy and smiles! Drama & Games: Back inside for more lively drama-based activities using imaginative story games, role play, movement, and creative drama techniques. Children will explore character work, storytelling, teamwork challenges, confidence-building exercises, and lots of expressive fun in a supportive, encouraging space. Lunch: Around noon, children enjoy a warm, home-cooked meal — think comforting classics like pasta bakes, chicken wraps, veggie burgers, jacket potatoes and colourful seasonal sides. Dietary needs are always catered for. Afternoon Fun: Time for spring crafts and creativity! Upstairs in our cosy craft room, children can choose from activities such as clay modelling, Easter egg decorating, nature-inspired art, spring card making, painting, and colourful seasonal creations, knitting, junk modelling.... the list is endless. What Kind of Games and Activities? Expect spring drama games, creative crafts, feel-good music, movement, imagination adventures, and traditional games that celebrate the lighter, brighter season. What’s the Space Like? Basement: The cosy Kiddy Kitchen where little chefs might help decorate seasonal treats. Ground Floor: A bright, open space perfect for drama, movement, and energetic games. Upstairs: A full floor dedicated to crafts — ready for colour, creativity, and springtime inspiration. Outside: A safe, enclosed garden with grass, flowers, and a playhouse — ideal for outdoor play and fresh air fun. Will There Be Choices if My Child Doesn’t Like Something? Absolutely. Every child can choose what they join in with — no pressure, just encouragement, confidence building, and lots of springtime smiles. How Big Are the Groups? We keep groups small and manageable — no more than 26 children per session — ensuring every child receives plenty of attention, care, and support. What Experience Do the Staff Have? Our team is made up of experienced, DBS-checked, safeguarding-trained professionals, also trained in First Aid and SEND, so you can rest assured your child is safe, supported, and having a wonderful day. ? Ready for a holiday filled with laughter, creativity, fresh air and springtime joy? Book your child’s place now — spaces are limited and fill quickly!
