A summary
Positive Futures delivers an inclusive and enriching summer holiday programme for young people aged 8–16 across Liverpool, with a focus on supporting those receiving free school meals and those living in areas of high deprivation. The programme will run Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday each week, providing consistent and accessible support during the school holidays when opportunities are often limited and need is greatest. Each day, young people are provided with a light breakfast, a nutritious lunch, and a variety of hot and cold snacks. Our menus are carefully designed to reflect a wide range of dietary needs and preferences, ensuring every young person feels included, supported, and able to fully engage. Our holiday club is structured into two age-specific programmes to ensure activities are tailored and impactful: Juniors (ages 8–12): Focused on fun, engagement, and building confidence through a variety of interactive and creative experiences. Seniors (ages 12–16): With a stronger emphasis on personal development, leadership, and skill-building opportunities to support future aspirations. Our diverse programme is designed to support both physical and mental wellbeing. Activities include sports and outdoor adventures such as football, basketball, climbing, kayaking, and team-building challenges, as well as creative sessions in filmmaking, photography, and digital design. We also deliver personal development workshops focused on confidence-building, communication, and leadership, as well as community-based initiatives that encourage social responsibility and engagement. Fridays will offer a particularly enriching element of the programme, with a different trip each week. These trips are designed to give young people access to new environments and experiences they may not otherwise have the opportunity to enjoy, broadening horizons and creating lasting, positive memories.

About your mentors
Positve Futures
Empowering young people to achieve
Positive Futures exists to support young people living in some of the most deprived areas of the Liverpool City Region to feel connected, heard and able to thrive. Our aim is to provide opportunities that young people would not normally have access to, creating trusted, welcoming and safe spaces where they can belong, express themselves and build positive relationships with trusted adults away from home. We work with young people aged 8–18 (up to 25 with additional needs) through sport, arts, cooking, digital and issue-based sessions that develop confidence, wellbeing, skills and aspirations. A core objective of Positive Futures is to ensure that young people play a leading role in shaping their own development, their communities and our organisation. Through youth voice, young leaders programmes and codesigned projects, we strengthen agency, nurture leadership and enable young people to shape positive narratives about themselves and their communities.
