What we'll do
Join us for the New & Improved Sports Camp at Pevensey and Westham School, which offers participants the opportunity to sample a variety of sports, including football, handball, dodgeball, gymnastics, dance and much more. If the weather is bad then suitable activities will be planned for inside. *New Activities include bowling, archery & Nerf! *Limited places for early drop offs and late collections at the Pevensey Camp. These can be booked (subject to availability) by contacting our office at bookings@sportitude.org.uk.. Charges apply. Attendees will have a healthy, hot and nutritious lunch. We look forward to welcoming old and new faces to the camp. Let's get ready to have fun, and make new friends and memories! *** This activity has been funded through the Department for Education’s (DfE) Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme and coordinated by East Sussex County Council. Free places are available for young people eligible for benefits-related free school meals. This eligibility criteria has been defined by the DfE. Additionally young people in several other target cohorts can attend funded places, such as those with SEND or Looked After Children (LAC). Please note, eligibility will be confirmed as part of the booking process.***

Camp Notes
*Drop off and collection will be at the main school office where the Sportitude team will be waiting to greet you. *All children must be accompanied until signed into the holiday club. *Please allow time to park and walk your child to the main office. Cars are not allowed to park in the school car park, with the exception of those who are disabled badge holders. *limited places for early drop offs and late collections at the Pevensey Camp. No-show policy
Definition of “No-Shows” Children who do not attend the Camp, and whose parents/carers do not notify Sportitude of this, are classified as “no-shows.” A ”no-show” is defined by Sportitude as any child booked onto a funded Holiday provision, who does not attend and that the parent/carer has not notified Sportitude by telephone call or text message to our emergency line: 07796892627, at least 30 minutes before the advertised start time. Emails are not considered an acceptable form of reporting absences. Sportitude recognises that holiday plans may change, even sometimes at the last minute, so the 3 strikes policy will not apply to any absences reported more than 30 minutes before the advertised start time of any Camp day. The 3-Strike System Explained: A strike, or warning, will be given when an individual meets the criteria of a no-show as explained above. Where a strike is given, the parent/carer will be notified by both text message and email on the day of the no-show. A no-show will stay on our records for 12 months. On the first occasion any individual no-shows at a Camp, the parent/carer will be sent notification that they have received a first strike. There will be no further consequences at this stage. Should any individual receive a second strike within a 12-month period, they will be notified of this, again by text and email, and it will act as a final warning. If a third strike is given, within 12 months of the first strike, the child in question will not be able to access any funded Sportitude provisions for 12 months from the date of the third strike. The parent/carer will be notified of this by text message, email and by post. This will not preclude anyone from accessing local authority provisions (such as the HAF program) through alternate providers. At the expiry of a 12 month exclusion period, all records of no-shows will be removed from Sportitude records and the individuals in question will be able to access Sportitude HAF provision again. Once 12 months have passed since any individual’s first strike, this will also be removed from their record, regardless of whether they received a second strike within that 12-month period. Record Keeping: Sportitude will operate a central database of no-shows. This will be updated and reviewed daily during holiday provisions. We will record the child’s name, associated adult(s) email address and name, date of no-show and the date of the notification sent to the associated adult. Cancellation Policy
Free bookings do not require refunds but as places are limited, please cancel if you cannot attend so that your place can be offered to someone else.No-show policy A no-show is defined as a child who is booked into a day at one of our HAF Camps but does not attend, nor is the booking cancelled in advance. At every round of Holiday Camps, the HAF program sees thousands of pounds worth of funded places go unused through no-shows. Not only is this a waste of resources, but it denies those families on the waiting list the opportunity to use these provisions. Therefore, please note that any child who is more than 30 minutes late, and Sportitude are not notified in advance, will be considered a no-show. As part of our terms and conditions of booking, we are now operating a 3 strike system for no-shows. On the first occasion that a child is booked into a Camp, but does not turn up nor cancel, the parent/carer associated to the booking will receive a first warning text. If the same child no-shows a second time, within a calendar year, the adult associated with the booking will receive a final warning text. Finally, should a child no-show for the 3rd time (within 1 calendar year) that child will have any further existing bookings cancelled. Furthermore, said child will not be able to be registered for any Sportitude HAF funded provisions for 12 months. Note that should your child fall foul of Sportitude's 3 strike rule, they will still be eligible to book with alternative HAF providers in the local area during the 12 month suspension period. There will be no consequences for cancelled bookings as long as Sportitude are notified no more than 30 minutes after the advertised start time for the Camp. HOW TO CANCEL A BOOKING.
