About your mentors
PAL Fitness Education CIC
Supporting children and families
PAL Fitness & Education CIC aim to support people who experience disadvantage, in Worcestershire and the surrounding areas. In particular, PAL aim to support Children and Families from low income backgrounds and Disabled people, of all ages. We have a variety of projects and everything we do at PAL is about inclusivity. Our key areas of work are all evolved around the issues identified above, targeting people who face disadvantages whether that’s because of having a disability or mental health challenge, a Long Term Health Condition or due to economic disadvantage which is often of no fault of their own. Our Holiday provision for young people with disabilities and young people from low income backgrounds has the same values, ensuring that activities are inclusive, accessible and that all children can have positive opportunities outside of their school provision, while enjoying nutritious meals. We have a large SEN offer, which facilitates SEND specific opportunities both in term time and holiday periods, ensuring no child or family is left isolated.

Camp Staff
I have been part of PAL for nearly four years, and I absolutely love what I do. Being part of such a positive and supportive environment has allowed me to grow both personally and professionally. No two days are ever the same, and that’s one of the things I enjoy most — each day brings new challenges, achievements, and opportunities to make a difference. I’m excited to be at the beginning of my journey in education, a path that I’m truly passionate about. Supporting children as they learn, grow, and gain confidence is something I find incredibly rewarding, and I’m always eager to develop my skills and experience further within the education sector. I’m committed to creating a welcoming, encouraging space where every child feels valued and supported in reaching their full potential.

Lead member of staff
I am a qualified teacher currently working as an assistant SENCO with extensive experience supporting students with Autism, ADHD, and EHCPs. Over the past three years working for PAL, I have developed a deep understanding of how to create inclusive, supportive learning environments that help every student thrive. My work has allowed me to collaborate closely with professionals and families, tailoring strategies to meet individual needs and promote positive outcomes. I have thoroughly enjoyed working alongside a dedicated team, and I continue to find great fulfillment in helping young people reach their full potential.
FAQs
We are proud to ensure that all children have access to food throughout the day including hot and cold options, we don't believe in segregating children due to economic status, and we take pride in supporting every family who access our provision. We ask if you could bring your child's labelled water bottle with them. We will send out a timetable a week before our camps, we want to make sure every child has a chance to have a go at something new and is offered a variety of activities. Activities can vary day to day, external providers are subject to change but we will always ensure there are lots of activities on offer for your children. We will put on a trip for the children with no additional costs and coach travel included. Swimming is offered daily for children who are 8 plus and confident swimmers. No additional costs for swimming, we just ask you to bring your child's swim bag, including a towel. Please ensure your children are dressed appropriately for the weather, including wearing and packing suncream if we finally have some sunshine!
