A summary
**Outdoor Adventures – Winter Programme** Join us for a series of creative, nature-inspired sessions in the great outdoors! Our **Outdoor Adventures Group** is all about connecting with nature, learning new skills, and enjoying time together in the fresh air. Each week offers something different — from hands-on crafts to outdoor cooking and festive fun. Here’s what’s coming up: ? **11th November – Chestnut Wreath Making** Get into the seasonal spirit by crafting your own unique autumn wreath using chestnuts, foliage, and other natural materials gathered from the garden. A perfect way to celebrate the beauty of nature in late autumn. ? **18th November – Fire Skills & Outdoor Cooking** Learn essential fire-lighting techniques and enjoy preparing simple, delicious campfire treats together. A great session for families and anyone who loves the warmth and magic of cooking outdoors. ? **25th November – Clay Art** Unleash your creativity with natural clay! We’ll use textures, leaves, and sticks from the garden to shape and decorate unique clay creations to take home. ? **2nd December – Christmas Wreath Making** Bring some festive cheer to your door with a handmade Christmas wreath. We’ll use fresh greenery, berries, and ribbons to create beautiful, natural decorations for the holiday season. ✨ **9th December – Natural Tree Decorations** Add an eco-friendly touch to your Christmas tree! We’ll craft lovely ornaments from pinecones, twigs, dried fruit, and other natural treasures — perfect for a sustainable festive display. ? **16th December – Festive Fire (Final Session)** Gather round for our final Outdoor Adventures session of the year! We’ll light the fire, share stories, toast marshmallows, and celebrate the season together in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Each session is designed to be relaxed, inclusive, and family-friendly, suitable for families with children under 5 and adaptable for home educating families— come for one or join us for the whole series! Come along with a sense of adventure, suitable clothing, and a drink/snack and enjoy our beautiful garden.

About your mentor
Bexhill Family Collective CIC
Reducing barriers to a fulfilling life.
The Bexhill Family Collective originally formed in August 2020 as a direct response to nursery and children’s centre closures within Bexhill. In March 2021 we opened Dragonflies Community Nursery on the same site as Rainbow Childcare Centre which was sadly closed in December 2020. We received an amazing response from the people of Bexhill, but the more people we met, the more stories we heard of how the then, pandemic, and now, cost of living crisis is affecting all people within Bexhill and Rother. While Dragonflies Community Nursery goes from strength to strength; Bexhill Family Collective CIC now work to meet the needs of local people with the hope, that one day, everyone has access to work, education and leisure which enables them to lead fulfilling lives.
