A summary
We have been successfully delivering Club4/HAF camps for the last 4 years! We offer outdoor adventure day camps at Henley Fort for children aged between 7 and 13. Our camps are full days: 9.15a.m. - 4.30p.m. providing a range of outdoor and adventurous activities, outdoor craft and cooking. We provide a basic breakfast on arrival and hot nutritious lunch on the day cooked by our in house catering team. Our camps are led by professional outdoor learning instructors who are experienced and qualified in delivering inclusive outdoor activities such as: climbing, woodland activities, archery, orienteering and nature walks. Our camps are very active, outdoors whatever the weather, and include at least 4 different activities on the day. Your child will go home well fed, tired and having had a fund day outdoors. We work hard to be as inclusive as possible for children with additional needs. However, we cannot offer 1:1 support. We work on a small group ratio of 1 instructor to 8 children. If you feel that your child will find it difficult to participate safely on this basis, we would encourage you to look at our 'Stay and Play' sessions which are designed for children with higher needs.

About your mentors
Surrey Outdoor Learning and Development
Exciting, inclusive outdoor learning activity
Surrey Outdoor Learning & Development (SOLD) is Surrey County Council's Outdoor Learning Service. We deliver a wide range of outdoor learning experiences and programmes across our three outdoor learning centres and Canal Boat. Our expertise is in delivering high quality learning experiences in the natural environment using a variety of engaging and inclusive outdoor activities. Our aim is to develop personal and social skills and to improve physical and emotional well being.
Surrey Outdoor Learning and Development
A learning experience for life
Surrey Outdoor Learning and Development is committed to achieving positive personal development through outdoor experiences that challenge the mind and body. Through these outdoor experiences, we guide participants to discover more about themselves by learning and developing personal, social, emotional, physical and key skills. We treat each person we work with as an individual with his or her own unique core strengths and limitations. Together, we work to achieve the best each person is capable of, whether this be newfound self-esteem or the ability to communicate effectively with friends or strangers. Self-evaluation and the recognition of achievement are the two fundamental principles behind our work. Participants must assess their own capabilities in order to perform. Ultimately, learning and development will then occur when an individual chooses to fulfil these capabilities through action and is able to recognise their actions as a new and remarkable personal achievement.
