✨ This session is for 11 - 19 year olds, living in Milton Keynes with a finalised EHCP. Please note, the sessions take place in Aylesbury. Our DJ & Music Production workshops give young people the chance to step behind the decks, create their own music, and build real confidence through hands‑on creativity. ✨Young People learn beat‑matching, mixing, track arrangement, and digital music production using professional equipment, all in a fun, inclusive environment designed for every ability level. ✨ Our sessions help students develop focus, teamwork, problem‑solving, and emotional regulation. ✨ With enhanced DBS‑checked tutors trained in safeguarding and SEND support, we create a safe space where children with SEND needs can thrive. ✨Every workshop blends creativity with disguised learning, helping students strengthen basic Maths and English skills while expressing themselves through music and creativity.

The OTD Studios & Academy is making music education exciting with a modern twist! Who wants to become the next best DJ or Music Producer?! The OTD Studios and Academy teach people of all ages how to DJ and produce electronic dance music. Both skills are important, and they bring people’s love for music to life in a different way! Our students get hands-on learning on performance-grade equipment in the music industry, taught by accredited expert tutors! We've taken skill levels from nothing to something, with opportunities to play on live stages, including in and around Milton Keynes! Through our workshops and lessons, we teach hand-eye coordination, timing, and listening by ear techniques, all used in day-to-day life, as well as in these skills.

1. What age groups are the DJ & Music Production workshops suitable for? Our workshops are designed for both primary and secondary students, and young adults. We tailor each session to the age, ability, and confidence level of the group, ensuring everybody can participate meaningfully, from complete beginners to young people already exploring music. 2. Do students need any prior experience with music or technology? Not at all. Our workshops are fully beginner‑friendly. We teach everything step‑by‑step, using simple, engaging activities that help students build skills quickly. Many students join with no musical background and leave feeling confident behind the decks. 3. Are your tutors DBS checked? Yes. Every tutor is enhanced DBS checked, fully trained in safeguarding, and experienced in working with young people. Our team also receives SEND training, ensuring we can support students with ADHD, Autism, anxiety, and other additional needs. All delivery aligns with the MK Safe Practice Mark. 4. What equipment do you provide, and what does the school need to supply? We bring everything needed for a full DJ or music production session, including DJ decks, laptops, headphones, software, and all accessories. 5. How many students can take part in each workshop? We can accommodate up to 10 students. Our maximum ratio is 10 students per tutor, and additional tutors can be arranged for larger groups.

Aim 1
Students will understand the different instruments used to create music through synthesisers.
Aim 2
Students will be able to confidently match the beats per minute between two tracks and mix them.
Aim 3
Students will walk away with an understanding of the music structure and how different genres have different structures.
