A summary
Our proposed provision would include Amateur Boxing and fitness activities on a site in Oldham a sport which has a proven track-record of engaging successfully with the most marginalised members of society. Building self-esteem and cultivating respect for individuals and community via the discipline and fun of training in the sport. As the only Club Marked England Boxing affiliated club in Oldham, we thought it important for our expertise and community work to reach wider into the borough.

Oldham Boxing was launched in 2007 and officially registered in June 2008 with the two main aims of: Encouraging and nurturing athletes of all abilities and ages; and Using boxing as a vehicle to bring about positive social change by working with substance abusers and also reaching out to some of the most marginalised residents in our community.
