What we'll do
SUMMER OF FUN AT LIVING SPACE Oasis Hub, Oasis Youth Hub and South London Kings FC are working in partnership with Living Space community centre, adventure playground and pitch to deliver a full schedule of activities for all ages over the summer break. Join us for a fun filled summer where highly experienced staff will support children and young people to make friends, build skills, be active, make memories and have fun. All sessions will include a delicious, healthy meal cooked on site and plenty of snacks. Whether your child loves sports, art, or just making new friends, we will make memories that last a lifetime. Don't miss out on an unforgettable summer! Please see the "Events & Sessions" section further down this page for the different activities on offer. Do check before booking that you are booking the right session for the right age group.

Living Space - Bankside Open Spaces Trust

Bankside Open Spaces Trust (BOST) is a local charity founded in 2000, set up to protect important community spaces in an area of significant open space deficiency, and in the area where many spaces are under threat from development. There is a clear need to provide safe, good quality outdoor environments and community spaces for the population to enjoy for mental and physical wellbeing. BOST currently holds a long term (999yrs) lease from Lambeth Council for Waterloo Millennium Green which adjoins Living Space. To inform our work going forward we have adopted the following Vision: “To enrich quality of life by creating sustainable, attractively designed, well managed community spaces.”  To support our mission, we:  A Enhance Health and Wellbeing    B Empower and Engage Local Communities  C Transform Open Spaces  BOST is well placed to achieve this vision as we have; A proven track record for securing and enhancing community mixed-use spaces Expertise in working with and on behalf of the local community Experience of bringing partners together to work collaboratively Living Space is a children, youth and community centre, adventure playground and sports facility together with ancillary offices and community facilities situated in the heart of Waterloo and was built in 2001 by Lambeth Council.

We’ve been involved in the Waterloo community for over 15 years, striving to help people of all ages and situations feel included, to know that they can contribute and realise a deep sense of belonging. We’re passionate about Waterloo, and we’re building a movement of volunteers, parents, churchgoers and more who work together to radically transform our society, creating a community where everyone is in, where everyone is valued, where everyone thrives and enjoys life in all its fullness.
Events & Sessions
Our sessions are open to all. If you are eligible for HAF, please go ahead and book a ticket(s). For anyone who is not eligible for HAF then please copy and paste the following to access the separate listing: https://eequ.org/book/living-space-summer-of-fun-programme-with-living-space-bankside-open-spaces-trust-17918 1) Oasis Youth Hub (for ages 10 – 16 years old) from Monday 28th July to Tuesday 19th August Weekly drop-in Sessions at Living Space on Mondays and Tuesdays 13:00 – 16:00. (Oasis Hub Juniors 13:00 – 14:30 only). Start date 28th July, last session Tuesday 19th August Activities at drop-in sessions include outdoor and indoor games, ping-pong, girl’s football, cooking competitions, arts and crafts, farmyard work plus much, much more… All sessions are led by highly-experienced, nurturing youth practitioners who build an encouraging, kind and friendly environment so that every young person feels safe and supported and has a great time. And … we are even more excited to announce that Oasis Youth Hub will also be offering two day trips a week and a four-day camping trip! Please note, only young people who attend the Living Space sessions will be able to participate in the trips. Weekly sessions at Living Space on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays 10:00 to 12:00 - Kids only 12:00 to 14:00 - Family meal and games (all ages) Our full schedule of activities and games are designed to keep our children and their families active, engaged and supported throughout the holidays. Our friendly community staff team are on hand throughout each session offering support and encouragement to the children and their parents/carers. Expect a full day with indoor and outdoor games, football, sports and soft play, face painting and other arts & crafts. These sessions encourage children to develop good communication, build positive friendships and develop new skills in a safe and welcoming environment. Oasis Hub will also run three day outings for families including Battersea Park Boating/Picnic, the Imperial War Museum, and Wandsworth Gravity. To book these trips, please contact Oasis Hub. 3) FRIDAY FOOTBALL & FUN (for ages 8 – 16 years old) with South London Kings FC 11.00 – 16.00 These weekly Friday sessions offer a fantastic mix of sports, creativity, and social activities, all in a friendly and supervised environment. Learn from the best with FA qualified coaches with sessions for both girls and boys, perfect for those who want to build their skills and confidence. We will also have loads of other activities on offer including ping pong, painting and crafts, Xbox tournaments and delicious food.

A safe space where children, young people and their families are encouraged to be physically active, make friends, share hot meals, support and relationship, improve their mental and physical wellbeing and health and develop a sense of belonging within their local community.
Eligibility criteria
Lambeth HAF-funded places are for children and young people in reception to year 11 who receive benefits-related free school meals and attend a school in Lambeth. (Please note, this is different to universal free school meals that are available to all school-aged children) Each child can book up to 16 sessions this summer with any provider.
