This is a Christmas visit to the Queens Theatre Barnstaple for the Panto. We will start the session with lunch and games at the theatre, the group will then attend the Panto and have ice cream during the break. Lunch, drinks, sweet treats and ice cream will be provided. Please note the children will be in rows supported by the team, there will be loud noises, flashing lights and bangs etc typical of a pantomime, please ensure your child is able to manage this situation prior to booking.

About your mentor
Nurture in Nature Children and Families CIC
Nurturing Wellbeing & Resilience for Children
Nurture in Nature is set in the heart of the countryside and provides a safe open space to access to activities and support for children with SEND. Nurture in Nature supports children with SEND needs. As a specialist provider we run small groups for children who require additional support. The children have a range of abilities, and our sessions are designed to offer fun, inspirational and interactive activities. Children could “just be!”, have fun, learn new skills, and interact with other children with similar needs. Our highly experienced and skilled members of the team encourage children to engage in activities that will help them develop skills, improve confidence, and build relationships. We may also commission external providers or plan trips and outings with the children.
SEND provision
We will be offering a 3 hour sessions to visit the Queens Theatre for the Christmas Panto. This is a mixed age and ability group. Children must be able to manage with a staffing ratio of 1 adult to 3 children, cope with a theatre setting with noise and small spaces. Your child must be able to stay with dedicated adults, please refrain from booking if they wander off or will dysregulate during the activity. We want all the children to have a lovely experience.
Learning aim
Aim 1
SEND children to access a wonderful experience with qualified and skilled staff that they would otherwise be unable to access.
Coping in a group
Unfortunately we are no longer able to provide 1:1 or 2:1 support through HAF funding. Children will need to be able to be supported within a ratio or 1 adult to 3 children. If you child requires more support than this please contact us in the first instance to discuss how we can help.
