A summary
Ready to give your child a summer they’ll never forget? Our summer football course, delivered by Hartlepool United coaches, is designed to help young players develop their skills, grow in confidence, and fall in love with the beautiful game — all while having fun in a safe, welcoming environment. Across the week, children will be put through their paces by our team of qualified, experienced coaches, who bring passion, professionalism and energy to every session. Whether your child is a natural goal-scorer, a midfield maestro, or just starting out, we’ll help them improve their game — with a ball at their feet and a smile on their face. Players will train outdoors, learning key skills like passing, dribbling, shooting, teamwork and positional play through fun drills, small-sided games and match scenarios. Every day features a mix of technical training and matchplay, with chances to win prizes in friendly competitions — from crossbar challenges to skills tournaments and Player of the Week awards. And it’s not just about football. We’re committed to creating a safe, inclusive space where every child is encouraged, supported and involved. Whether they turn up knowing nobody or arrive with their whole football team, they’ll be made to feel part of the squad from the first whistle. Each child will also receive a hot, nutritious lunch every day — helping them refuel and stay energised throughout the session. For families eligible for Free School Meals, this programme is completely funded, meaning there’s no cost to attend. Our summer football camps are all about fun, friendship and football, giving children a chance to stay active, build confidence, and create memories on and off the pitch.

Additional Informatiom
Please ensure your child comes ready to play! Comfortable sportswear and football boots or trainers are a must. Shin pads and goalkeeper gloves are encouraged but not compulsary. On some days, sessions may take place indoors, so ensure your child comes with trainers as well. Don’t forget a water bottle — staying hydrated is key! Children can refill their bottles throughout the day. Although hot meals are provided, we understand that these may not always be to everyone's tastes. If your child would like to bring a packed lunch, they are welcome to do so. Sessions will take place at Norton Sports Complex, TS20 1PE. It's quite a big site so please follow the directions below: - 1. Drive all the way down Station Road and turn left immediately after The Norton Tavern (DON'T CROSS THE RAILWAY!) 2. Follow the lane that runs alongside the railway track. It will lead you to a large car park on your left hand side. 3. Look for the sign saying 'The Avery Cricket Centre'. Our staff will be inside taking registers.
