What we'll do
My activities: 10th August - Grantham house We will visit this beautiful house, dates back to the 14th century. Children will have the opportunity to explore the peaceful green of the gardens, and play games which are displayed in the gardens by National trust. 11th August - Trip to Belton House The childminder is part of the National trust, and is able to take the children to one of the largest outdoor adventure playground in the Uk. Ideal for children of all ages, it offers an extensive wooden climbing frames, massive slides and zip wires. Children also have the opportunity to visit the ride indoor play area, the maze and the house to learn a bit of history. 12th August - Mini bug safari We are going for a walk by the canal at Belvoir Castle area, exploring nature, bugs, trees, flowers, birds and discussing about it. The childminder will drive, and park near the canal for our little walk. 13th August - Isaac Newton house (Woolsthorpe Manor) Children will have the opportunity to visit and learn about the birthplace of Sir Isaac Newton, explore the Science Discovery centre and have a picnic. 14th August - Woodland water (Ancaster) Build a den Children will explore the woods, use sticks, logs and trees to build a den. 17th August - Craft At the childminder house, children will be encouraged to be creative, using their imagination to paint, draw, make bracelets, birds house and etc. 18th August - Rutland water Children will explore the park, sand play area and for lunch we will have a BBQ. 19th August - Belton Garden centre Children will visit the local garden centre to buy seeds or choose a plant, see the aquarium, play at the play area and go back to the childminder's house for lunch and gardening. 20th August - Fruit picking at Syston fruit farm We will visit the local farm, children will build mini baskets to pick the fruit of their choice, learn about the fruit plant and have opportunity to pay at the counter and have a little play at the green area. They can take the fruit home or eat at the childminder's house. 21st August - Scavenger hunt at Dirty duck by the canal Children will use magnify glasses to search for natural treasures, such as, small creatures, leaves logs etc. This adventure creates opportunities for children build vocabulary, observation skills and helps them engage with the environment. 24th August - Sewing Children will learn the main types of sewing. Hand sewing, using needle and thread, using sewing machine and embroidery, this is a decorative type of sewing used to create patterns, textures, and images on fabric. It will be done by hand. 25th August - Barrowby park We will visit the local park for a free play, a bit of football and capoeira. Capoeira is a brazilian martial art that combines dance, acrobatics, and music. Children will learn how to play the home made instruments, basic acrobatics and "Ginga".

I am Brazilian, living in the UK since 2005. I have a daughter who lives with me and she also helps me delivering the HAF programme. I am an OFSTED registered childminder since 2009, and I always have had a passion for children's development. After my daughter's birth, I decided to became a qualified childminder to look after my own daughter, providing all the children in my care the best opportunity of development following the EYFS requirement. My Experience: I have been working with children from the age of 3 months to 16 years old, EYFS children and pre-school. I have experience with challenging behaviour, allergies, autism, wheelchair users, speech and language difficulties, ADHD and asthma. My training details and qualifications: - I am a qualified nurse in my home country (Brazil) - Level 2 in ESOL Skills for life (Trinity college London) - As a childminder I have NVQ level 3 Diploma Children and young people's Workforce - DBS - Safeguarding training updated every 2 years - Paediatric First aid training updated every 3 years according with OFSTED regulation - Health and safety, Risk assessment - IDP (Inclusion Development Programme) Autism, SENCo Awareness training - HABC level 2 Award in Fire safety - Understanding children and young people mental health - EYPDP (Early Years professional development programme) I am a HAF provider since 2023. My Daughter Rebecca helps me during the HAF programme too. She is a swimming and capoeira teacher assistant, and she also has a DBS, Paediatric First Aid training, and safeguarding training. She is finishing A levels and has volunteered at Apoline Dentist so she has some experience in oral health.

I’m Rebecca! I’m 18 years old studying for my A levels as an aspiring dentist. I work as an assistant swim teaching as well as teach capoeira (a Brazilian martial art) on the side.
A summary
Children will come to the childminder house, at 10 am, we will be going out for few hours and back for lunch, and a little play while waiting for the parents to collect at 2pm. Some activities, depending on the distance we will take pack lunch with us to enjoy more time. exploring the place visited.
