A summary
This 4-week creative programme is designed for neurodivergent teenagers aged 13–18 who are interested in photography, creativity, storytelling and zine making. Across the programme, young people will explore photography, collage, layout design and handmade zine/book making in a calm, low-pressure and supportive environment. Participants will experiment with photographing textures, spaces, objects, colours and personal themes before turning their images into their own creative zines/publications. Sessions are designed to support confidence, self-expression and social connection without the pressure often found in traditional youth settings. Young people will be encouraged to work at their own pace, take breaks when needed and explore creativity in ways that feel comfortable to them. The programme will be delivered by experienced SEND practitioners alongside a professional creative facilitator at The Barton Hub, Eccles. No previous photography or art experience is needed.
