Grow Your Own Art! Get ready for an adventure into nature's art studio! Join us for a hands-on workshop where we'll explore the vibrant Education Garden to find inspiration in every leaf and petal. First up, you'll create a magical living willow circle or wreath. Weave in beautiful greenery from the garden to make your design truly unique. The best part? You'll take your creation home, pop it in water, and watch it sprout new leaves and grow roots! Then, we're off to explore the Southside Farm to harvest delicious seasonal produce. We'll turn our fresh bounty into a yummy lunch that we'll all share together – straight from the farm to your plate! After lunch, let's get super creative! We'll team up to make a fantastic framed group art project using all the wonderful natural treasures you discover around the garden. And for some extra fun, we'll dive into an exciting Alphabet Scavenger Hunt and play other garden games. Come on down and let your imagination bloom!

Growing Local CIC
GROW, COOK, EAT healthy & local Hereford food
Growing Local is a community interest company that encourages and educates communities to grow, cook and eat local food. In the summer of 2023 Growing Local took over a new 19-acre agricultural site, The Southside Farm, on the southern edge of Hereford to establish a veg box scheme, a children’s educational garden and heritage orchards. We work with schools and communities delivering educational programmes and events in sustainable food growing, nature, crafting, cooking and more.
How to Find Us
If WALKING/CYCLING we are at the end of the Great Western Way foot/cycle path - after the Belmont Wanderer's football fields - look out for our polytunnels! IF DRIVING we will meet you in the Belmont Wanderers football club car park at 9.50am and walk over together. The car park is at the end of Vernon Williams Close in Newton Farm, HR2 7BF. From here it's a short walk over to our farm.

Accompanying Adults
Children under 8 MUST be accompanied by a parent or carer - please book an adult place. Children 8 or over may be left, but adults are very welcome to stay if they wish to - please book an adult place.
