Stepping into the grand entrance hall of the Natural History Museum feels like walking into a real-life adventure story. Towering above you is the awe-inspiring skeleton of a blue whale named Hope, suspended from the ceiling, welcoming curious minds of all ages.
Families and children can begin their journey in the Dinosaur Gallery, one of the most exciting parts of the museum. Roars echo through the space as kids come face-to-face with life-sized dinosaur skeletons and a roaring animatronic T. rex that’s always a crowd favourite. It's a perfect mix of excitement and learning—children can discover how these prehistoric giants once roamed the Earth.
Next, wander through the Earth Hall, where you can travel through a giant escalator that takes you into the heart of a glowing planet. Here, children can explore volcanoes, earthquakes, and the forces that shape our world—there’s even an earthquake simulator that gives you a real shake-up!
In the Investigate Centre, kids can get hands-on with real museum specimens—from animal skulls to feathers and fossils—with expert staff on hand to answer their questions. It’s perfect for curious young minds who love to explore through touch and play.
Don’t miss the Mammals Hall, where a life-sized model of a blue whale lies alongside elephants, lions, and other incredible animals, helping families understand the wonders of the natural world.
Throughout the museum, there are family-friendly cafes, picnic spots, and a brilliant gift shop full of science kits, dino toys, and educational books to continue the adventure at home.
Whether you're visiting for a few hours or spending the whole day, a trip to the Natural History Museum is an unforgettable experience—full of wonder, discovery, and inspiration for the whole family.
