A summary
Take the first step towards becoming a qualified Pool Lifeguard with our National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) course! Hosted at Dormers Wells Leisure Centre from Monday 17th August to Friday 24th August. Open to anyone aged 16 the NPLQ is the UK's leading lifeguard qualification and provides the skills and knowledge needed to work as a Pool Lifeguard. It's also a great way to build confidence, develop life-saving skills and gain a nationally recognised qualification. Everyone Active operates 8 leisure centres locally with swimming pools in Ealing & the surrounding area so following the qualificaiton your information will be passed onto all centres. During the course, you'll learn all aspects of lifeguarding, including Pool Rescue Techniques, Lifeguarding Theory, First Aid and CPR. Training includes both classroom learning and practical pool-based sessions to prepare you for real-life situations. IMPORTANT: This is a physically demanding course. Candidates must be confident swimmers and able to complete timed swims, dive to the deepest part of the pool and lift and support casualties in the water. The NPLQ is assessed across three sections, all of which must be passed to achieve the qualification: • Pool Supervision, Safety and Lifeguarding Theory • Rescue Skills and Emergency Response • CPR and First Aid Please note: Candidates must be at least 16 years old by the assessment date and attend all training sessions. Successful candidates will receive the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ), opening the door to exciting employment opportunities within the leisure industry. This will include questions around why you wish to undertake the opportunity and your current swimming ability. **Those who do not respond to the questions or contact will be removed from the opportunity as this is to provide those who attend with the opportunity to undertake a NPLQ qualificaiton and gain employment with Everyone Active as a lifeguard.**
