Miniature Pony and animal experience HAF

Petite Ponies has been awarded grant funding from Milton Keynes City Council to deliver sessions for the Holiday Activities and Food Programme, for children in receipt of benefit-related Free School Meals (FSM), during the Summer school holidays in 2026. During our sessions at Petite Ponies children will meet, interact and spend time with all of our animals including miniature horses, donkeys, ferrets, rabbits, goats, guinea pigs, sheep and chickens. These group sessions of up to 14 children will be delivered at Chase Farm, Whaddon, Milton Keynes, MK17 0PP - please ensure you are able to travel to the session before booking as NO transport is available. They will learn about all the different animals and get involved in their care and welfare. Children and young people will have the opportunity to brush horses, lead them around obstacle courses and go for walks with them around the farm. Our experienced team work with SEN young people every day supporting them to fully engage in activities and learn new things and most of all have fun. Please cancel places if not able to attend. This enables another eligible child to take up the opportunity. Bookings that are not attended and for which we are not able to contact you, remaining bookings may be cancelled.

We have trained SEND staff members to look after and support the attendees. Child/children and young people can be dropped off by their parent or carers and they can attend by themselves. Please note that HAF is a group session of up to 14 participants supported by three or four staff members dependant on number of SEN attendees. If the attendee requires a closer supervision, one to one or personal care parents/carer should also attend. Parents / carers are welcome to attend if they feel the child needs them to stay.
