What we'll do
We start the session with a quick chat and check in with each other. The aim of the group is to create friendships using music as a conversation starter. You can arrive for the social at 10.30, or just come for the music at 11am. We finish with a little mindfulness and meditation to help participants to relax and recharge. There is no pressure to be there for the whole group, but of course we would love you to stay! This is a fun and casual music session aimed at improving wellbeing. Tea and coffees are provided and our facilitator Greg is kind, caring and supportive to members, who can engage as little or as much as they would like in the music and singing. We also encourage participants to share music that inspires them or evokes memories, this can either be played over a speaker or Greg can also play music live. There is no pressure to join in, you can simply come and listen. Participants can get as involved as they feel comfortable with, sing or play instruments provided by us, or bring their own. It is a jam session, with chat and meditation to support mental health and improve wellbeing.
