A summary

Woughton Community Council Youth Team has been awarded grant funding from Milton Keynes City Council to deliver sessions for the Holiday Activities and Food Programme, for children in receipt of benefit-related Free School Meals (FSM), during the Summer school holidays in 2026 This is an exciting opportunity for families to enjoy Milton Keynes museum. There is lots to see and do. The museum has it's own old fashoined high street, including a sweet shop where you can purchase sweets chosen & weighed out from large jars. The museum covers transport, toys, how people lived, music and is now the home to MK's very own dinosaur skeleton. There is a play area and you can picnic in the large green spaces, perhaps next to the (other) set of Concrete Cows! Our tickets are for children and young people aged 4-16yrs to gain entry. All children & young people must be accompanied by ONE accompanying adult. However we do have a limited number of family tickets which will allow two adults to attend, we will prioritise these for families that have children with additional needs and need two adults to make the day out accessible. We will also provide a packed lunch for both children and adults. As a partially funded Woughton project priority is given to families that live or are educated in the Woughton Parish. Please note NO transport is available for this trip Arrival time for this trip is 11am, once you have entered the time is your own, staff will be on site until 3pm should you need anything. ⚠️ Please cancel places if not able to attend. This enables another eligible child to take up the opportunity. Although free to attendees, HAF sessions are costly and usually oversubscribed. ⚠️ Bookings that are not attended, cancelled with appropriate notice or for which we are not able to contact you, will result in remaining bookings being cancelled and no future HAF bookings being approved

We are an integrated youth service, specifically service those children, young people and families in the Woughton parish area of Milton Keynes. We offer a wide range of services all year round, including HAF funded school holiday projects.

Getting there & home

THERE IS NO TRANSPORT INCLUDED IN THIS TICKET/ BOOKING. Please arrive at 11am to enter the museum. We will organise your entrance into the park as part of the group. Team will ensure you have our contact details in case you need us but your day is your own. We will have your contact details.

4yr old-16yr tickets include a picnic ,Lunch which will be provided by the youth team on arrival at the Muesum. Please ensure you have an appropriate bag to carry your lunch with you for the remainder of the day.

Free bookings do not require refunds but as places are limited, please cancel if you cannot attend so that your place can be offered to someone else.Please cancel your tickets if you are unable to attend so that we can offer your spaces to another family. There is a waiting list for this event so we want every ticket to be used.
