A summary
Tuesday to Friday | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM This holiday, let your child travel through time with our exciting Art Through the Millennia camp! Designed for curious and creative young minds, this four-day program will explore major art styles from different historical eras, using hands-on projects, imaginative materials, and playful learning. Each day brings a new artistic adventure: Day 1 – Prehistoric Wonders: Campers will start their journey in the age of the dinosaurs! Using cardboard, recycled materials, and plenty of imagination, students will create dinosaur bones and wearable costumes. They’ll learn about prehistoric life while developing sculpting, cutting, and assembly skills. Day 2 – Primitive Art: Inspired by early humans, this day focuses on cave paintings and primitive symbols. Campers will experiment with earthy colors, charcoal, and hand-printing techniques to create their own "cave walls," learning how storytelling and expression began through art. Day 3 – Aztec Inspirations: Traveling forward in time, campers will dive into the vibrant and symbolic world of Aztec art. They’ll craft intricate patterns, masks, and mosaics, exploring the culture’s use of bold colors, mythology, and geometric design. Day 4 – Renaissance Revival: Students will step into the world of the great masters — Michelangelo, Da Vinci, and others — learning classic drawing and painting techniques. They’ll try their hand at portraits, perspective drawing, and even mini frescoes, inspired by one of the most influential art periods in history. Day 5 – Modern Magic: The final day celebrates modern and abstract art, including action painting, splatter techniques, and bold experimentation. Inspired by artists like Jackson Pollock and Yayoi Kusama, campers will be encouraged to let loose and create expressive, contemporary pieces. In addition to daily themed art sessions, the camp includes time for lunch, creative play, and short discussions about the history and meaning behind each art style. Our supportive instructors ensure that every student, regardless of skill level, feels confident and inspired. By the end of the week, each camper will have a portfolio filled with unique artworks and a deeper appreciation of how art has evolved through the ages.
