A summary
The Little Manor Play Project provides Ofsted Registered, affordable childcare for the children of parents who are working, studying, or actively seeking employment. We also welcome children from families where parents want respite or are looking for additional activities for their children to participate in. During school holiday periods Little Manor organises playschemes. Parents can drop their children off at the project from 8.00am onwards and full care is available until 6.00pm. The programme has a mixture of on-site activities and trips. The project provides lunch and light snacks. It is also possible for children to have breakfast with us on these days. W provide a minimum of 3 trips per week. Sessions include: SPORTS • Basketball • Cycling • Football • Roller skating • Table Tennis SCIENCE & NATURE • Scavenger hunts • Experiments • Environmental activities • Sensory Challenges • Planting ARTS & CRAFTS • Candle making • Enamelling • Screen printing • Glass painting • Construction FOOD • Breakfast Club • Lunch and snacks • Cooking activities • Food quizzes • Family supermarket ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES • Nurturing life-skills • Embracing diversity • Celebrating culture • Enjoying the outdoors • Broadening horizons We support both parents and children by providing a full care scheme that enables parents to re-engage or participate in work, study or training or enjoy respite. We support the development of Little Manor children by encouraging them to plan their own programme of activity through the exploration of their interests. All project activities aim to improve each child’s self-confidence, self-esteem and respect for others. Our programme of activity is planned and prepared so that each child’s individuality is respected and nurtured.
