A summary
At Let’s Get Active (LGA), our Christmas Basketball Camp is designed to give children aged 4–11 an unforgettable, fun-filled introduction to basketball! Over four festive days, young players will enjoy a mix of skills games, team challenges, and creative drills — all tailored to their age and ability. Children will take part in exciting activities like dribbling relays, shooting games, mini matches, and teamwork challenges, all led by our friendly, qualified coaches. Every session is packed with energy, encouragement, and laughter, helping children grow in confidence, coordination, and teamwork while having a great time. There will also be giveaways, mini competitions, and camp awards, celebrating effort, improvement, and positivity — not just performance. Our camps are designed to be inclusive, safe, and welcoming, giving every child a chance to make new friends, stay active, and discover the joy of sport. By the end of the week, they’ll leave with new skills, big smiles, and great memories!

About your mentors
Let's Get Active
Activity Provider
Let’s Get Active (LGA) is a community-driven sports organisation dedicated to inspiring and empowering young people through high-quality, inclusive, and engaging physical activity programmes. Based across East and South London, LGA delivers basketball academies, early years physical literacy sessions, school programmes, and holiday camps that focus on developing confidence, teamwork, and lifelong wellbeing. Beyond sport, LGA emphasises mentorship, leadership, and personal growth—creating safe, positive environments where every child can thrive both on and off the court.
Ade
Coach
I am a physical literacy expert who coaches people through proper movement mechanics using play-based learning environments. My approach focuses on helping young athletes build confidence, coordination, and body awareness through fun, engaging activities that support long-term athletic development. I believe that learning should be enjoyable, and I design sessions that encourage creativity, exploration, and a love for movement while laying down strong technical foundations. Whether a child is new to sport or working to refine their skills, my goal is to help them move better, feel stronger, and enjoy the process of becoming a more complete athlete.
Louis
Lead Coach
I’ve spent over 10 years working with young people through sport, and I still get excited about every single session. As lead coach at our upcoming camp, my focus is on creating a fun, safe, and inclusive space where every child can feel confident and enjoy being active—whether they’re new to basketball or looking to take their skills to the next level. I believe in making learning fun, encouraging teamwork, and helping each child feel like they belong. I can’t wait to welcome your child to camp and help them have a brilliant time on and off the court!
Sade
Coach
Nice to meet you! I love basketball and I’m glad I can share that with the people I coach. Having grown up playing in the UK and going to college in the US, I have experienced the game at many different levels, under many great coaches. I enjoy learning and coaching presents the opportunity to expand my knowledge on different ways of developing one's game.
Brenda Annan
Camp Manager and Safeguarding Lead
Occupational Therapist by training, camp leader at heart — I’m here to make camp safe, active and unforgettable for every child! My OT experience allows me to support children of all abilities, ensuring activities are accessible, developmentally enriching and full of joy.
