A summary
Suffolk Positive Futures Wednesday Summer Holiday Football Clubs are a funded programme Via the Holiday Activity Fund (HAF) for young people aged 11–15. The day includes a variety of technical drills and skill-based games designed to develop football ability, teamwork and confidence. Participants will receive a full lunch, including sandwiches, fruit, crisps and cake, before taking part in conditioned matches during the afternoon to put their skills into practice. This provision offers a fun, structured and supportive environment during the holidays. Groups are divided into appropriate ages and led by our Suffolk Positive futures team that run Our Leiston Monday night Football & Boxing project at Leiston Sports Centre 7pm to 8pm.

Through the delivery of diversionary sports-based community activities, and access to positive adult role models, our projects provide valuable health and fitness related opportunities for young people. Activities are run for free within local estates and neighbourhoods, providing meaningful, safe and supportive places for young people to attend.
Learning aims
Aim 1
Young people will learn and improve fundamental skills in a variety of sports, building confidence and overall physical competence through structured & inclusive activities.

Young people will develop an understanding of healthy eating, hydration, and the importance of regular physical activity in maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

Young people will strengthen their teamwork, communication, and social skills by participating in group activities, demonstrating respect and sportsmanship.
