A summary
Monday 6th April: Our theme for today is 'Storytelling.' Your tutors will guide you through creating a character's backstory. This imaginative theme brings stories to life and gives children of all ages the chance to step into the spotlight. Younger children love diving into simple hero adventures and role play, while older students can explore deeper characters, dramatic storylines and the big questions around right and wrong in a fun, age-appropriate way. Through games, drama and creative activities, children will create their own heroes and villains, build storylines, and work together to bring scenes to life. The theme naturally sparks imagination, encourages conversation about values and choices, and helps children see the world from different perspectives. Most importantly, it’s fun, familiar and easy for every child to connect with — everyone can become part of the story. As they create and perform together, they’ll develop confidence, teamwork and empathy, learning that even villains have backstories and that great heroes often rely on others to succeed. Expect laughter, creativity, new friendships and plenty of dramatic adventures along the way — it’s set to be a heroic Easter to remember!

About your mentor
Worcester Theatres
Performance For All
Worcester Theatres is a registered charity, and is the main arts provider in Worcester, operating at Huntingdon Hall and the Swan Theatre. The organisation also has a producing arm in the form of the Swan Theatre’s resident professional theatre company, the Worcester Repertory Company, which annually produces: the outdoor Worcester Rep at the Commandery, the hugely popular Swan Theatre pantomime, popular classics and new writing along with touring shows nationally. Worcester Theatres relies significantly on charitable donations to support our operation, including arts grants, funding from our city council, donations from trusts and foundations and other organisations. This together with legacies, fundraising events and our patron’s continued support ensure our operation.
