Our pedagogy

Hands on learning, great communication with children, encouraging team playing, sharing and values, getting our children to experience new skills, the best way of learning is doing things first hand for themselves and giving our children a great sense of achievement and self-esteem and create wonderful positive memories. Time away from mobile phones and games and encouraging exercise promotes good mental and physical wellbeing while having fun and enjoying themselves. Promoting healthy eating through choice and knowledge.

About your mentor

Kinship Carers

For as long as it takes.

Kinship for our project means anybody who is raising someone else’s child full time. We support everyone who lives in the Kinship house. Kinship Carers are important members of our community providing a safe home for many children and young people who may otherwise be in Local Authority Care. We are increasingly seeing younger Kin Carers e.g., siblings, aunts/uncles taking on this role for a variety of reasons e.g., bereavement, chaotic lifestyles, substance misuse, imprisonment. Whatever your age and circumstances, you are welcome to get in touch with us for a chat or come along and join us.
