What we'll do

This Winter at Kiddycare Little Willows Preschool, children (aged 4-8) can get involved in our exciting weekly activity plan and adventure days. Activities include: ➡️Science experiment Your child will explore a range of resources such as lemons, white vinegar, bicarbonate of soda and bath fizzers. They will use fine motor skills using tools such as pipettes, spoons and paintbrushes to manipulate the different resources. They will work as a team to identify what happens when different things are added together! ➡️Book week Your child will explore activities based on a range of books such as 'The Bear Hunt' and 'Jack and the Beanstalk'. These include: - a bear hunt tuff tray and making. - a bear hunt sensory walk. - a jack and the bean stalk playdough activity where your child will make leaves for the beanstalk. This activity will include number and number recognition. - explore Handa’s surprise book where your child can explore the different fruits mentioned and create their own fruit salad. ➡️Shaving foam painting Your child will use tools such as pipettes to colour the shaving foam with paint and water. Your child will work on their fine motor skills as they use the pipettes and paintbrushes to colour the foam. Your child will also explore colour mixing and what putting different colours together makes. ➡️Colour week Your child will explore a range of colour activities that include a colour sort that features emotions. They will be able to then scavenger hunt around the rooms and garden to find items of a specific colour. Alongside this, with a colourful spaghetti tuff tray, your child will use tools, such as tweezers and scissors, to make their own exciting colour monster!
